OSBY Christian Academy was founded by Mrs. Franceska Osby who received a God-inspired vision to launch a Christian-based learning institution that would afford students the opportunity to gain a solid educational foundation in a loving and nurturing environment.    The school's foundational scripture is "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). Mrs. Osby envisioned a school that would train young children academically, spiritually, physically and socially, ultimately leading to the development of students who are "well-rounded" and prepared to impact the world for Jesus Christ.

The school began with only three students and has continued to grow year after year. OCA quickly outgrew its original location and relocated to the campus of Carver Bible College in April of 2008, serving students from K3 - 1st grade.  The school once again outgrew its space in 2010, continued to add additional grade levels and moved to its current location, on the campus of the Word of Faith Love Center in East Point, where the Senior Pastor is Dr. Reginald Garmon, Sr. The school now serves children from grades K3 - 5th grade!

Mrs. Osby has worked with children, both spiritually and educationally, for over 25 years.  The dedicated teaching staff lovingly educates children utilizing time-tested curricula while also adopting newer instructional methodologies that have been proven to enhance student learning. OCA teachers regularly assess their student's growth and adapt teaching methodologies to meet each child's learning needs.

The school also offers instruction in the arts, offering music and choral instruction as a part of the curriculum.  Children have numerous opportunities for personal artistic expression during the weekly chapels and special programs such as the annual Christmas Extravaganza and Resurrection Chapel.  OCA also gives back to the community by participating in the annual Food Bank drive and through caroling at locations throughout Southwest Atlanta including the Emma Darnell Senior Center.

Desktop computers can be found in each classroom beginning in K3 and there is a separate computer lab for group instruction.  Additionally, there is a hands-on science lab. The school also participates annually in the ACSI Spelling Bee, ACSI Math Olympics and Choral Festival.

God has continued to bless OSBY Christian Academy throughout the years.  OCA is committed to providing Christian education while not sacrificing academic excellence. We are grateful for all that God is doing to bless our school.
